The Yankees went through the motions 10 days ago when Curtis Granderson broke his forearm on the first pitch of Spring Training, and now first baseman Mark Teixeira hurt his wrist (strained ECU tendon) and will be out 8-10 weeks! Tex injured himself swinging a bat during batting cage warm-ups playing for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic; initially it was diagnosed as 8-10 days but later changed to 8-10 weeks! Read more below…

Injuries keep stacking for the Yankees with Jeter working back from a stress fracture in the ankle from the Playoffs last year, A-Rod who finally got surgery for his hip in the fall, Mariano Rivera working back from a torn ACL, and even the GM Brian Cashman is being carted around in a wheelchair (Professor X-esque) after his skydiving fiasco! Mo is the only positive and will get his first taste of exhibition on Saturday vs. the Atlanta Braves! Don’t expect the Yankees to be the Bronx Bombers either because many solid HR hitters have got away on free-agency including: Raul Ibanez, Andruw Jones, and Russell Martin who combined for about 100 HRs last season! Also, check out Derek Jeter’s funny tweet above! Pretty soon Yankee stadium is going to have to be handicap accessible; for the players not the fans!
