Mick Foley Wrestlemania 2000

Foley retired a four-time world champion, an 11-time tag-team champion, the first WWF Hardcore champion, one time TNA Legends champion, and even headlined Wrestlemania in 2000 (pic above), about halfway through his career! Altogether he was a 17-time champion between WCW, ECW, WWF/WWE, and TNA! Besides being a former professional wrestler, Foley is also an author, comedian, actor, voice actor, and former color commentator! Foley gained notereity with the NY Times for his best-selling autobiographies! Foley grew up in Long Island at East Setauket, NY and attended Ward Melville High School! Coincidentally, he actually wrestled on the same (HS) team (pic above) as now comedian Kevin James, actor/comedian in “Here Comes the Boom” and “Hitch”! Foley grew up idolizing the NY Knicks and his favorite Knick was Walt “Clyde” Frazier, a now retired HOF player and MSG play-by-play announcer! One time, Foley hitchhiked to MSG from SUNY Cortland, his college in 1983, to see Jimmy Snuka fight Don Muraco in a legendary steel cage match (video below)! After seeing Snuka perform the flying body splash (you can see him in the first row) that became an inspiration for him to become a professional wrestler himself!
