“I’m very happy now,” Rousey said. “It’s starting to all feel normal up here a little bit. I think tomorrow when everything dies down and I can sit in a room and digest, is when I’m going to run around and do a little dance. Right now, I’m too tired to dance.” – foxsports
A former Olympic Judo bronze medalist and now first ever UFC women’s champion, Ronda Rousey, delivered by defeating Liz Carmouche with a submission arm bar hold in the first round of their UFC 157 cagefight last night! It was the UFC women’s debut, and Carmouche looked like she was controlling the fight and had Rousey tied up in a rear naked choke submission or a neck crank, but Rousey flipped her off her back, and slipped the armbar; forcing Carmouche to tap out 4:49 into the first round! This was Rousey’s 10th fight of her career; three as an amateur and now six as a pro! This is groundbreaking for the sport to finally have women who can fight in the cage and bring spectators to the sport!
