Kyrie Lights Up Three-Point Contest! [Video]
“This weekend was just basically about earning everybody’s respect and getting a chance for people to see me who don’t usually see me,” Irving said. “We’re not nationally televised. This weekend is to show my face to the fans and get everybody in the league acclimated to my face.”
“He’s really taking the weekend by storm,” Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry told USA Today Sports. “He can shoot the ball and he can do pretty much everything on the court, so I’m not surprised he’s had such a good showing this week.”
“He shot the ball great and he deserved to win,” New York Knicks forward Steve Novak said. “When he got hot he made like 12 or 13 in a row and that’s tough to beat.” – usatoday
