Raptors Beat Down the Knicks, Melo May Be Out for All-Star Game?!
Anthony said he suffered a “contusion’’ of his biceps after getting elbowed on a drive by Demar DeRozan in the first quarter.
“It was something like a dead arm out there,’’ Anthony said. “I tried to get through it and get some feeling back. Throughout the whole game, it was bothering me.’’
When asked if he definitely would play Sunday as the starting forward for the East, Anthony said, “I’ll see and take it day by day. I’m not going to force it. As bad as you want to play the All-Star Game, if I can’t go, I can’t go.’’ – nypost
The Toronto Raptors beat down the NY Knicks, 92-88 at MSG last night! Melo got dinged (right bicep) and will possibly be out for the highly anticipated All-Star game on Sunday?! The Knicks couldn’t buy a bucket, and the game was straight ugly from start to finish, and got uglier for the Knicks in the second half! The Knicks five point lead at the half diminished to a five point deficit by the end of the third quarter! J.R. Smith hit two threes (26 points total) to close the game, but that just made the score seem closer! Melo finished with 12 points on an awful 5-for-24 shooting, and all together the Knicks combined for a 35% shooting! They allowed reserve Alan Anderson to run rampid with 26 points on six threes! The Knicks did hold down the boards, but couldn’t move the ball or make a bucket! The Knicks (32-18) lost a little momentum going into the All-Star break, losing to a team (Raptors, 21-32) they should normally beat on any given day!
