Hello Brooklyn Serves Up the Nuggets!

Joe Johnson vs Nuggets

“When you’ve got a key guy out, it motivates guys to step up and play a little harder,” said Joe Johnson, who finished with a game-high 26 points on 10-for-19 shooting. “Guys who haven’t played that much tend to come in and play big minutes and be successful.” – nypost

NBA: Miami Heat at Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets served up the Denver Nuggets, 119-108 at the Barclays last night, and have something positive to work off of going into the All-Star break! Joe Johnson stepped up with 26 points and nine assists, the Nets have won two-in-a-row without star PG Deron Williams, and improved their record to 31-22! Plus, the Nuggets are no joke with a 37-29 record and amongst the top five teams in the Western Conference! C.J. Watson, who started in place of D-Will, put up 25 points and hit a career-high five threes, and Brook Lopez finished with 23 points and eight boards! Rookie and Jersey native Tyshawn Taylor (pic above) showed a little pop hitting two threes and getting four assists in just 16 minutes on the floor for the Nets! Former Tarheel Ty Lawson was the lonely bright spot for the Nuggets with 26 points and nine assists! ..nuff said
