Rookie Tyshawn Taylor Spotlights Nets in OT! [Video]

Kansas stand-out, rookie Tyshawn Taylor (#41 pick), played ball at St. Anthony in Jersey City, NJ now finally got notice for the Brooklyn Nets tonight! He stole the spotlight with 12 points and some sweet hoops including a clutch circus shot in OT (video above) to help the Nets propel to a 89-84 win in Indiana over the Pacers! The game was pretty ugly with little ball movement and a lot of missed shots! In fact, it was only the second time since 1986 that a team won a game with only nine assists! Besides Taylor, Joe Johnson hit a clutch bucket to tie the game (at 76) with only 13 seconds left to send it to overtime and finished with 17 points in all! Brook Lopez tallied up 25 points and eight boards, Gerald Wallace 11 points and 11 boards, and Reggie Evans snatched up 22 boards! During high school in 2009, Taylor did also do a bit with his St. Anthony coach Bobby Hurley Sr. in a documentary movie about keeping kids on the court in school off the streets (in St. Anthony with Hurley) titled “The Street Stops Here;” check out the trailer below!
