The Knicks just couldn’t keep up, as NBA best PG CP3 and the LA Clippers pulled away and rolled to a 102-88 win over the NY Knicks at MSG yesterday! Melo was on fire in the third quarter, scoring 18 of his 42 points (and eight boards), and brought the Knicks to a 73-71 lead just seconds into the fourth quarter! The Clippers pulled away from that point on a 19-5 run, as the sold-out crowd at the Garden started to leave their seats (for the exits)! CP3 led the Clippers with 25 points, seven assists and six boards, Jamal Crawford sparkled with 27 points off the bench, and Blake Griffin threw in 17 points and 12 boards! The Knicks only other bright spots were Raymond Felton with 20 points and Tyson Chandler with 11 boards! J.R. Smith, Jason Kidd and Iman Shumpert combined for a woeful 3-of-17 shooting; the Knicks were outrebounded 43-35 and lacked ball movement with 11 assists compared to Clippers 21 assists! The Clippers executed better, got better looks, and made more shots! The Knicks dropped to 32-17, while the Clippers bettered to 36-17!
