Knicks Explode on the Kings!

“If Miami happens to slip up and lose [today], we go to Houston to coach the All-Star team,’’ Woodson said. “That will be a great achievement for me. It will be an honor.’’ – nypost

Stat dominates, Ex-Knick Guerin: I’m surprised record lasted so long, Celtics hold on over the Clippers, Lakers edge out the Pistons

The NY Knicks put it on the floor, even led by 50 points at one point, and exploded on the Sacramento Kings, 120-81 last night! The Knicks bench came through with 82 points (most in team history), Stat hit a perfect 10-for-10 shooting for 21 points, J.R. Smith had a game-high 25 points (hitting five threes), Steve Novak 15, and “the colonel” Kurt Thomas erupted for 11 points! Also, Tyson Chandler pulled down 20 boards for his second consecutive game and Felton and Prigioni combined for 15 assists! Melo was held to nine points (on only 12 shots) and his consecutive games with at least 20 points streak came to a halt at 31 games! The Knicks have now found their right work, won four in a row, bettered their record to 30-15 and tied the Heat for the Eastern Conference best record! In fact, Knicks coach Mike Woodson almost won the rights to coach the East All-Star team (quote above), but with the Heats win over the Raptors today that will not be the case!
