Niners Pull Off Record Comeback on Falcons!

The San Francisco 49er’s fell behind 17-0 before pulling off a NFL record comeback to win 28-24 over the Atlanta Falcons in NFC Championship game on Sunday afternoon! For the first time since 1995, the Niners will advance to the Super Bowl and take on the Baltimore Ravens! The Niners broke out in the second quarter, and blanked the Falcons in the second half! Niners’ RB LaMichael James led things off with a crucial 15-yard touchdown run and TE Vernon Davis followed with a big game (5 catches for 106 yards) and a touchdown of his own in the second quarter! Niners’ RB Frank Gore (90 yards on 21 attempts), the game MVP, sealed the deal scoring two touchdowns late in the game; the second being the clincher with 8:23 left in the game! The Falcons failed to score after that, and Falcons’ QB Matt Ryan AKA Matty Ice was even injured toward of the end of the game and stopped right at the 10-yard line! Niners’ QB Colin Kaepernick showed poise in the pocket, and led the Niner’s record comeback completing 16 of 21 passes for 233 yards and one touchdown! Kaepernick was held on the ground, but completed a 23-yard run to advance the Niners on a crucial third down conversion.

For the Falcons, QB Matty Ice had quite a game despite being picked late. He completed 30 of 42 passes for 396 yards, three touchdowns and one pick. Falcons’ WR Julio Jones had a record-breaking 182 yards on 11 catches for two touchdowns, WR Roddy White had 100 yards on seven catches, and TE Tony Gonzalez had 78 yards on eight catches for one touchdown (just before the half)! Gonzalez, one of the best tight ends of all-time, did announce that he will most likely retire!
