Falcons Hold Off Seahawks Late-Game Surge!

Falcons’ QB Matt Ryan tips his hat after winning his first Playoff game, the NFC Divisional Playoffs on Sunday evening.

The Atlanta Falcons won with only eight seconds left on a game-winning FG by former-hexed kicker Matt Bryant! The Seahawks came back from 20 points down in the fourth quarter to gain the lead momentarily, 28-27, when Bryant blasted the 49-yard FG through the uprights to win! Falcons’ QB Matt Ryan AKA Matty Ice finally won his first Playoff game [Video], and kicker Bryant removed the hex from when he missed a crucial FG for the Giants a decade ago! Overall, the Falcons had a better more consistent running game, while the Seahawks had a far better passing game! The Falcons will now take on the red hot San Francisco 49er’s with record-breaking QB Colin Kaepernick in the NFC Championship game! Check out the stats below!

Statistics: Falcons’ QB Matty Ice threw for 250 yards, three touchdowns, and two picks! Falcons’ WR Roddy White and TE Tony Gonzalez each scored a touchdown, and young WR Julio Jones caught 59 yards! Falcons’ RB Michael Turner turned in a solid performance with 98 yards rushing on 14 attempts, and back-up RB Jacquizz Rodgers ran 64 yards on 10 attempts!

Statistics: Seahawks’ rookie QB Russell Wilson showed up late and threw for 385 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick! Wilson also ran for 60 yards and one touchdown! Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch did score a touchdown, but was held to 46 yards on 16 atttempts! Seahawks WR Zach Miller had quite a game with 142 yards on eight catches and one touchdown, and WR Golden Tate turned in 103 yards and one touchdown on six catches!
