Ravens Dismantle Manning, Broncos in 2OT Thrilla!

Win One for Ray! In the fourth longest Playoff game in NFL history (4 hours 20 minutes) and the coldest Playoff game (6 degrees) in Bronco’s franchise history, the Baltimore Ravens beat the Denver Bronco’s 38-35 with a interception that set up a field goal in Double-OT! Just as all looked to be said and done with the Broncos ahead 35-28 with 30 seconds to go, the Ravens connected on a 70-yard hail-mary TD pass (to WR Jacoby Jones) that tied the game at 35! In the overtime periods, the teams exchanged possessions until Manning threw a pick that set up Baltimore almost in field goal range! The ball passed through the pylons on Ray Lewis spirit, as the soon-to-be retired legend has yet another game to play – the AFC Championship game! You couldn’t have written a better script for the underdogs persevered in the coldest of climates and the longest of games, and just plain willed the win! It was a sad day for QB Peyton Manning who came back after dangerous neck surgery and took the Bronco’s on a miraculous ride, winning the last eight regular season games, and notching the best record (13-3) in the AFC heading into the Playoffs!

For the Ravens, QB Joe Flacco threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns with no picks, RB Ray Rice ran 131 yards on 30 carries with one touchdown, WR Torrey Smith caught three passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns, WR Jacoby Jones caught the 70-yard hail mary TD pass to tie the game in regulation and send it into OT, and CB Corey Graham caught two picks (one for a TD) combined with seven tackles! Retiring linebacker Ray Lewis led the Raven’s defense with 17 tackles (7 assisted) in the game!

For the Broncos, QB Peyton Manning threw for 290 yards and three touchdowns with two picks, RB Ronnie Hillman ran 83 yards on 22 carries, and WR Trindon Holliday ran a kick-off return 104 yards for a touchdown!
