NFL Pro-Bowl Picks Announced!

The picks for the 2013 NFL Pro-Bowl in Hawaii on Jan. 27 were announced on Wednesday! Giants’ salsa officiando WR Victor Cruz, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul AKA JPP, and guard Chris Snee were picked as NFC starters! Other notables in the NFC include: Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers, Vikings’ RB Adrian Peterson, Lions’ WR Calvin Johnson AKA Mega-Tron, and Falcons’ TE Tony Gonzalez! In fact, Mega-Tron just broke Jerry Rice’s single season record for receiving yards! Amazingly, the Niners got seven players selected as starters; five on defense and two on the offensive line! Washington Redskins’ rookie phenom QB Robert Griffin III AKA RG3 got a nod as a second alternate to QB! The Giants also had some other notables in the reserves! Denver Broncos’ QB Peyton Manning came out with a vengeance this season, and is currently the frontrunner for MVP.

In the AFC, Peyton Manning is the starting quarterback after a phenomenal comeback (possible MVP) season! Manning will be making his Pro-Bowl record (for quarterback) 12th start (chart below)! Other notables in the AFC include: Texans’ RB Arian Foster, Texans’ WR Andre Johnson, Pats’ TE Rob Gronkowski, Pats’ inside linebacker Jerrod Mayo, Broncos’ outside linebacker Von Miller, Broncos’ cornerback Champ Bailey, and Bengals’ WR A.J. GreenThe Jets had no starters, but safety LaRon Landry and cornerback Antonio Cromartie made the reserves!

Peyton a Real Pro

Peyton Manning of the Broncos was named to the Pro Bowl for the 12th time in his career on Wednesday night. That’s the most selections for a QB since 1970. Here’s the list:
