Giants’ WR Victor Cruz paid a visit to the home of a Sandy Hook victim and NY Giants fan on Tuesday afternoon. First grader, 6-year old Jack Pinto (pic above) would wear Victor Cruz’s #80 jersey every Sunday, was buried in his jersey, and absolutely loved the Giants. Cruz spent over three hours with the family of the fallen victim. During the visit, dozens of young Giants fans were running around Pinto’s lawn and playing catch. The kids received tons of Giants memorabilia. After the meeting, Cruz wrote a message on twitter (read above).
On Sunday during a 34-0 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Cruz dedicated the game to his memory, and wore cleats with a message for Pinto: on one shoe he wrote “Jack Pinto ‘My Hero,’ ” and on the other shoe he wrote “R.I.P. Jack Pinto” (pic above).
