NBA Rising Star: Kyrie Irving Stumps the Lakers!

‘Straight out of Jersey Kyrie’ Irving returned to action and led the Cleveland Cavaliers over Kobe and the LA Lakers, 100-94 last night! He poured in 28 points and 11 dimes, and stumped Kobe who turned in 42 points on the night! The Cavaliers improved to (4-17), while the Lakers dropped to (9-13); one of LA’s worst starts since the 2003-04! Check out Magic’s take on the Lakers, Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni getting fiesty with reporters after the game[Video], Kyrie reaction after the game [Video], and a Kyrie crossover highlight from the game on video and short bio below!

Kyrie went to St. Patrick H.S. in Elizabeth, NJ, and grew up a New Jersey Nets fan. He is a second year point guard with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and already won the Rookie of the Year and NBA All-Rookie First Team Awards last year! He missed the last 11 games (this season) with a broken finger, and made his big return last night. You never know… maybe… Kyrie will end up in Brooklyn with the Nets in the next couple years?!
