Heat Narrowly Escape Star-Less Spurs! [Video]

The Spurs star players (l. to r.): Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobli sat out during Thursday night’s game against the Miami Heat.

“I don’t think Pop was in the wrong; it’s not in the rules to tell you you can’t send your guys home,” said LeBron James, who had 23 points in the Heat’s fifth straight win. “The commish made his decision and everybody else will deal with it.” – espn

The Miami Heat narrowly escaped with a victory, 105-100 over the star-less Spurs last night! In a controversal decision, the Spurs coach Gregg Popovich sat his star players: Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli (and Danny Green) for the Heat game! He sent them home (to San Antonio), while the team went on to Miami. The Spurs played five games in six days, and coach Pop wanted them to be fresh for their division rival, the Memphis Grizzlies! Lebron James was dissastified with his lack of attention; although his comment (above) would tell otherwise! The NBA commissioner David Stern is irate, and will impose sanction on the Spurs in the near future. Check out highlights from the game on video below and NBA stories below!
