The Brooklyn Nets brought down the house with a 96-89 OT gruelling intercity win over the NY Knicks at the brand new Barclays Center tonight! For the first time since 2003, the Nets have won six straight home games! Jerry Stackhouse (14 points) hit a big three and Gerald Wallace (16 points) made a clutch bucket (and 1) to put Brooklyn in the driver’s seat in OT! Deron Williams threw in 16 points and 14 dimes, Brook Lopez 22 points, 11 boards and five blocks, and Reggie Evans was huge with 14 boards in 18 minutes on the floor! Melo was quiet at the end in OT, but finished respectively with 35 points and 13 boards! Knicks’ Tyson Chandler was a monster and finished with a career-high 28 points and 10 boards! For the Knicks struggles, Raymond Felton was shaky (3-for-19 shooting), and Rasheed Wallace was big on the glass (8 boards), but rusty to the rim (2-for-11 shooting)! The Nets improved to 9-4, and tied the Knicks atop the Atlantic East Division! Check out some first half highlights (including Chandler’s monster put-back) on video below!
