Rutgers Jump to the Big Ten!

Scarlet Knights (from Maryland) and NJ Rutgers are both switching from the Big East to the Big Ten conference in 2014-15.

“The Big Ten is really where Rutgers belongs,” Rutgers President Robert Barchi said. “This is not just a good fit for us athletically, it’s a good fit for us academically and as an institution.”

The NJ Rutgers NCAA football program is switching (from the Big East) to the Big Ten conference! The news became official on Tuesday afternoon! The Big East has been shelled apart with conference realignments, and Rutgers (along with the Scarlet Knights from Maryland) were improving far behind the conference in recent years! It was time for a change; the switch will be official in 2014-15!  Check out some other college football programs that are changing conferences in 2013-14 in the chart below!
