Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez HBO PPV Live on Saturday!

Up-and-coming Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will take on veteran Sergio Martinez in the WBC Middleweight Championship bout at the Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, September 15 at 9PM EST! Chavez Jr. (46-0-1, 32 KOs) is only 26 years old, still undefeated, holds the WBC middleweight belt, and sent highly touted contender (Irishman) Andy Lee to the floor in his last bout in June! Chavez Jr. will also have a huge Mexican fan base following this weekend, as it is Mexican Independence Day weekend! Martinez (49-2-2, 28 KOs) is 37 years old, very reputable, and still dropping foes like there is no tomorrow! The fight is sold out at the arena, but you can still order the HBO PPV Live fight right here!

“It’s at the MGM,” Arum said. “The eighth is for sure. Vegas is for sure.”

“We’re having a meeting about Manny’s next fight and to get everything finalized,” Arum said. “My goal is to finalize the Marquez fight, but I have to meet with (Koncz).” – espn

Manny ‘Pac-man’ Pacquiao is setting up a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez instead of vying for a rematch with Timothy Bradley Jr. Pacquiao lost a highly controversial split decision to Bradley on June 9, 2012, and many expected him to get his WBO belt back from Bradley. The Pacquiao-Marquez IV is slated for December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas! It is not official, but Pacquiaos’ agent Bob Arum said that is the direction the camp is heading towards!
