Breaking News: The U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team won the Gold medal in the All-Around, today! It was only #USA second team Gold in Women’s gymnastics, and first since #Atlanta1996Olympics! U-S-A chants flooded the arena, as Aly Raisman finished the floor routine with a 15.300 score! #USA finished with a top combined score of 183.596 and beat second place Russia (178.530) by a full five points! Romania came in third, and China came in fourth place, which will dramatically affect the medal count standings.

All five members of the team: Gabrielle Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross, Maroney McKayla and Raisman will receive the Gold medal! Sunday night, the women’s gymnastics team was flustered after Jordyn Wieber didn’t make the cut for the finals! Aly Raisman was her successor, and she came through in the All-Around Team Finals, today!

Amazingly, she only had 15 minutes of rest between the qualifying heat and Final event! #USA swimmer teammate Rebecca Soni almost got the Gold, but settled for the Silver medal in the 100-meter breaststroke, last night!

#USA Matt Grevers won the Gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke last night, and set an #Olympic record! #USA Teammate Nick Thoman came bursting in for the Silver medal on the same event!

#PhelpsBreakRecord?! Michael Phelps qualified for the 200-meter butterfly Final, last night! Now he could tie Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina’s record of 18 career medals with a medal in the 200-meter butterfly final Tuesday night (tonight)! He also has a chance to break or tie the record in the 4×200 meter Freestyle relay Final tonight! #Phelps already destroyed the single #Olympics record by getting eight Gold medals in the #Beijing2008Olympics!

Vincent Hancock won his second consecutive (#Beijing2008Olympics) Gold medal in skeet shooting on Tuesday morning!

Also, #USA Andy Murray beat Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 6-2, 6-4 and advanced to the third round Tuesday morning!

#TeamUSA basketball will take on Tunisia at 5:15PM, and #USA Women’s Soccer is taking on North Korea holding onto a 1-0 lead!
