Yankees take Fenway series!

@SportsBata ..nuff said

#YankeesRoastRedSox #NovaPitchesAGem The NY Yankees roasted the Boston Red Sox at #FenwayPark over the weekend! The Yankees (52-33) took 3-out-of-4 in the series, and are 9 1/2 games ahead of the Red Sox (43-43) in the AL East (going into the All-Star Break)! Ivan Nova (10-3, 3.92 ERA) led the Yankees to the pivotal victory on Sunday night; he gave up six hits, two runs, one earned run, walked two, while striking out 10 batters in six innings pitched! Andruw Jones blasted a two-run shot and had an RBI single in that game.

#JonesLightsUpFenway Andruw Jones has been hitting HR’s at an amazing pace! #Jones hit four HR’s in the #Fenway series! He has hit an incredible 11 HR’s in 127 bats, which would average out to 52 HR’s in one full season, and posted a .535 slugging percentage along the way! The only #Yankee with a higher slugging percentage is #Cano with a .578 slugging percentage!

“In this sport, as competitive ball players, we get pretty fired up,” Padilla said, according to NESN.com. “So I think, maybe, (Teixeira) picked the wrong profession. I think he’d be better off playing a women’s sport.”

Padilla added, “He is always crying and complaining. If he has a base hit, he cries, if he doesn’t, he cries. I just meant that not even women complain as much as him.”

“That’s just comedy,” Teixeira said prior to Sunday night’s first half finale between the Yankees and Red Sox. “It’s funny. It really is.”

“The problem is he talks about all the wrong things that others have done, but the things he’s done — against the Latinos (on the Texas Rangers) — he doesn’t open his mouth about,” Padilla told the website. “He once threatened me and said he was going to hit me with a bat, and that’s when we were playing on the same team.”

“I ask you guys to interview every one of my Latin teammates in this clubhouse right now and ask them,” Teixeira said. “That’s why it is funny because it is completely erroneous. That’s a good word.”

“I hope this is the last time I have to talk about it,” Teixeira said. “The fact of the matter is certain things happen in this game. Hitters don’t have the same power that pitchers do. Pitchers can do those kind of things. Hitters just have to take it. The only other thing I could do is charge the mound, like Swish.” – espn

#PadillaRipsTex #TexReacts Yankees’ 1B Mark Teixeira brushed off (former Rangers teammate) Red Sox p Vicente Padilla low blows during the #Fenway series! Padilla said that #Tex was “better off in a women’s sport” (lol) and also that #Tex was prejudice against Latino players. #Tex brushed off the women’s sports comment as “a comedy”, and said the prejudice accusations were “completely erroneous”. Check out the comments right above!
