#HelloBrooklyn Deron Williams AKA D-Will has verbally agreed to stay in #Brooklyn, and become the face of the new franchise! D-Will got on twitter at 7PM last night, and confirmed his intention with a quote and #Brooklyn Nets logo (above)! D-Will is looking at a five-year contract worth almost $100 Million! The Dallas Mavericks (the other team he was interested in) could only offer him a four-year contract worth $75 Million!
#HelloBrooklyn #ReggieEvans The Nets also traded a future second-round pick to the #LAClippers in exchange for Reggie Evans! The Nets will use its $3 Million trade exception to make the deal. It is reported that #Evans contract will be $5 Million for three-years. Evans, 32, averaged averaged 1.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 56 games for the Clippers last season.
#HelloBrooklyn #MirzaTeletovic The Nets also verbally agreed to terms with Bosnian forward Mirza Teletovic, 26, for a three-year deal worth $15.675 million! Teletovic, 6-foot-9, 250-pound averaged 22 points and six rebounds per game for Caja Laboral in the Euroleague this season. The Nets will use it full mid-level exception to sign Teletovic.
#NetTradeBuzz The #Nets were attempting to sway #JKidd as well, but it appears that the #Nets have run out of available cap room. #JKidd is interested in the #Knicks, so that is a positive possibility. The #Nets are still strongly pursuing Orlando Magic Dwight Howard trade, but are looking for a third party to complete the trade.
#NBATrades #FreeAgencyBuzz The Boston Celtics are close to a deal with Mavs Jason Terry, Raptors agree to a deal with #Knicks Landry Fields, Pacers agree to a deal with PG George Hill, Suns offer PG Eric Gordon a mega-deal, and the Rockets are attempting to sway Knicks’ #JLin!
