The #Mets swept the #Orioles, and look forward the #SubwaySeries at Citi-Field this weekend!

#MetsSweepOs The NY Mets held on to a 4-3 win last night, and swept the Baltimore Orioles! Mets pitcher Dillon Gee stretched the #Mets scoreless string to 29 innings before giving up a two-run HR in the eighth inning, last night! R.A. Dickey pitched a one-hitter on Monday night, and Johan Santana teamed with a trio of relievers blanked the O’s on Tuesday! Gee (5-5, 4.27 ERA) kept a one-hitter going into the eighth inning, while striking out nine batters, and David Wright went 3-4, connecting on the game-winning RBI double! #Mets reliever Frank Francisco (pic above) walked in a run (in the ninth), and almost gave up the game-tying run, but held on for his 17th save of the season!

#SubwaySeries #CitiFieldTopsTicketDemand The Subway Series at Citi-Field starts this week-end! The #Mets (38-32) have been tossing no-hitters and one-hitters left and right and putting up good record this year, while the #Yankees (41-27) are their usual top-shelf! The biggest game will be Sunday when #Yankees C.C. Sabathia will face off against #Mets (back-to-back one hitter) R.A. Dickey will face off (full TV schedule below)! The Citi-Field leg of the Subway series is fetching a higher demand and dollar then the earlier #Bronx Yankee stadium one! The average ticket price on the secondary market as of yesterday for the  upcoming Subway games was $174.64. The average ticket price for the three games  at Yankee Stadium earlier this month was $107.23. You can still get tickets at Mets.com or by calling (718) 507-TIXX. Check out info below!

The Mets said last night tickets remained for all three games and were available at the Citi Field box office, mets.com or by calling (718) 507-TIXX. As a  promotion, they started selling field reserve tickets for tomorrow’s game  (normally priced at $115) and field box tickets (normally $136) for Sunday’s  game for $94 — corresponding with the gametime temperature last night. – nypost
