“This move to the FM dial is in keeping with the industry trend of sports radio shifting and offers an even broader reach for our content,” said Dave Roberts, ESPN 1050 New York vice president and general manager. “By combining the FM reach with our wide variety of digital offerings from ESPN Audio, we are uniquely positioned to provide coverage of all of New York’s sports.” – espn

It is official, #ESPN Radio 1050 AM will move to 98.7 FM on Sunday at 12:01AM! The new ESPN New York 98.7 FM dial will take over Kiss 98.7 FM, and Kiss will move to (former competitor) WBLS 107.5 FM dial! The move is integral for exposure with a broader audience range on FM! The ESPN 1050 will still be broadcast until September to allow time for listeners to switch (from AM to FM)!
