#Melo got 43 points to hit two clutch threes to bring the Knicks past the Bulls, 100-99 in OT, yesterday! The Bulls are the #1 team in East, and the Knicks came through with #Melo hitting big buckets! #1 Bulls star PG Derrick Rose (29 points, 6-18 shooting, eight TO’s) return to the line-up was spoiled by #Melo hitting big buckets! #Shumpert was all over the place netting 16 points, nine boards, six assists, and four steals! #Chandler pulled down 16 boards to control the glass!

Check it out, this is how it went down! The Knicks were down 10 points with about four minutes to go in regulation! #Melo made a couple buckets, and then hit a big three (11 seconds left) to tie the game and go to overtime! In OT, the Knicks tightened up their D, and then #Melo proceeded to hit the game-winner (with eight seconds left)! Rose missed a bucket at the end of regulation and overtime! “I consider coming back to work for a franchise that I had so much success with a great honor,” Johnson said in a press release. “As I move onto the next phase of my career, I have been given an opportunity to touch so many different areas of the organization — helping develop young players, connecting with the community and actively involving myself in the business of basketball. I couldn’t be more excited to get going and learn as much as I can.” – foxsports

LJ as Grand-ma-ma

Former #NBA star Larry Johnson AKA Grand-ma-ma joined the Knicks front office over the weekend. LJ was a four-time captain for the Knicks during his playing days in the late-90’s. The Knicks were still a top contender at that time. Sunday morning, he took the position of basketball and business representative; which combines working with players and dealing with community relations as players are added to the roster.

In this new role, Johnson will work closely with the basketball operations department, focusing on player development. He will also work with the community relations department to support the Garden of Dreams Foundation and on fan development and other marketing and business ventures. – foxsports

“The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it’s in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team,” Odom said in a statement to ESPN.com.

“I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.” – espn

Lamar Odom spent Easter Sunday parting ways from the #champ Mavs! He originally came to Dallas in December, when his “team”, the Lakers, tried to trade him to last place New Orleans Hornets in a exchange for CP3. His minutes were diminishing, his numbers were horrible, and even his show “Khloe and Lamar take Dallas” was boring and hit rock bottom. Check out the terms of his contract below!

Any team that has Odom on its roster as of June 29 must buy him out by that date for $2.4 million or otherwise accept responsibility for the full $8.2 million that Odom is scheduled to earn in 2012-13. – espn
