The #Niners signed, unretired, Randy Moss, to a one-year deal, the #Giants re-signed CB Terrell Thomas, and the #Jets re-signed NT Sione Pouha! The free-agent market opens at 4PM today!
“I’m not a free agent. I’m a guy straight off the couch, straight off the street,” Moss said. “One thing I want the sports world to understand is the love and passion I have for football.” – espn
The San Francisco 49er’s signed, unretired, Randy Moss to a one-year deal worth $2.5 Million w/ incentives that could bring it up to $4 Million! Moss, 35, retired early after an awful season going from the Pats to the Vikings to the Seahawks! He still got game, and showed that in his work-out with the #Niners yesterday! The #Niners are a serious contender! They made it to the NFC Championship game last season, narrowly losing to the NY Giants in the last seconds!
“It’s official, I’m a NY GIANT
“I’m pretty much at a good-paced jog,’’ Thomas said. “Not a sprint but a nice jog. I’m cutting, jumping and next week I start cutting on the grass and get fitted for my knee brace so it’s picking up. The fun part of rehab is definitely there. I’m doing lunges and squats. I’m squatting 300 pounds ten times so I’m definitely confident and just looking forward to coming back in 2012 and showing everybody how hard I worked in this offseason.” – nypost
The NY Giants re-signed CB Terrell Thomas to an undisclosed contract this morning! He sat the entire 2011 season with a torn ACL, but he will be a starter once again for the Giants. Thomas, 27, was a second-round draft pick in 2008, and ended up becoming the premiere up-and-coming CB for the Giants. He got 10 interceptions for the Giants in 2009 and 2010 when he started and played in each game.
“I’m ecstatic,” Pouha said on a conference call. “I’m excited. This is something I’ve always wanted. I’m going to be a Jet for life.” – nypost
The NY Jets re-signed NT Sione Pouha to a three-year deal this morning! The financial agreement was undisclosed. Pouha, 33, was a third-round pick in the 2005 #NFL draft by the Jets. He is a priority to the Jets, being an integral piece to Ryan’s defense, and a leader in the locker room. The Jets still have 10 unrestricted free-agents to hit the market at 4PM today, and only had $15 Million available in salary cap room available before signing Pouha. Hopefully, the Jets will not lose too many key players to free-agency. They are still a top contender!
