#Priceless #HOFBound Jorge Posada finished his phenomenal 17-year career with the Yankees today! He officially announced his retirement at a press conference at Yankee stadium this morning. The Yankees didn’t show interest in re-signing him, and he didn’t want to play with another team, so he decided to retire. Posada, 40, won five rings with the Yankees, was a five-time All-Star, and posted a .273 average, 275 home runs and 1,065 RBIs in 1,829 games. Posada is one of only five catchers all-time with 1,500 hits, 350 doubles, 275 homers and 1,000 RBIs; Johnny Bench, Gary Carter, Carlton Fisk and Ivan Rodriguez are the other four. He was the 24th pick in the 1990 draft with the Yankees, he begin a Yankee and retired a Yankee! Check out the tribute video below!
