#Hack-A-Shaq Dwight Howard shot 39 free-throws, last night, which topped Wilt (Chamberlains) 50-year old record of 34 free-throws in one (regular season) game! He made 21-39 free-throws and finished with 45 points and 23 boards! Howard’s team, the Orlando Magic, beat the Golden State Warriors, 117-109, in his triumphant night. It was a big night for Howard, who many believe will be a Laker or a Net by the end of this season. Wilt Chamberlain set the mark at 34 on February 22, 1962!
Shaq(uille) O’Neal currently holds the playoff record of 39 free-throw attempts against the Pacers on June 9, 2009! Shaq made 18 and finished with 40 points and 24 boards in that game!
Howard is also the first player since Shaq in 2003 (48 20 Mar 1 against Celtics) to have at least 40 points and 20 boards in a regular season game!
