Torre to buy Dodgers?!

@SportsBata ..nuff said

Perhaps Yankees’ greatest skipper, Joe Torre, has decided to give up his job with MLB to pursue ownership with the LA Dodgers! He made the announcement earlier today. Torre, 72, won four World Series titles and six pennants over 12 years with the Yankees from 1996-2007! He was the Dodgers skipper from 2008-2010. Torre took up a job with MLB in Feb 2011, and became the executive vice president for baseball operations. He was at the fore front for on-field discipline and umpiring, among other duties. Check out the statement below!

“I am so appreciative of the chance (commissioner Bud Selig) gave me to see the game from a different perspective by working for Major League Baseball, especially during such a great time for our sport,” Torre said in a statement. “I have made this decision because of a unique chance to join a group that plans to bid for the Dodgers. After leaving the field, this job was an incredible experience, one that I enjoyed very much. I want to thank the commissioner and all of my colleagues over the last year, particularly the members of the baseball operations group and the major league umpires.” – espn
