#Jets concede season!

#Jets lost last hope, conceded their season, with a grinding loss to the Miami Dolphin’s 17-19, yesterday! The Jets played statically, inconsistently and gave away their season in the final games. By the final game, yesterday, they had already left themselves in a position where even if they won the game, they would still have to wait for three or four other teams to lose to make the playoffs. A matter of fact, the Tennessee Titans, won their final game, and would have knocked the Jets out anyway. Jets WR Santonio Holmes (pic above), who basically syndicated the Jets ‘airplane’ TD celebration with unbelievable clutch TD grabs in past tight games, was stagnant the entire game, and was benched in the final two minutes. The story is that he was told to “step it up”, and starting arguing in the huddle. I think he gave up before the game even started. Check it out!
“There were guys in the huddle not happy with Santonio’s demeanor throughout the game and in the two-minute drill,” said Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson. “And they said something to him about it.”
“It was a coach’s call,” Holmes said. “Patrick came in and tapped me on the shoulder and told me to come out.”
The decision to bench Holmes was made by offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, a team source told ESPNNewYork.com’s Rich Cimini. Turner was sent in by wide receivers coach Henry Ellard.
“I looked out there and I was wondering why he wasn’t out there myself,” Ryan said. “No, I didn’t bench Santonio. … Somebody told me he was on the bench.” – espn
