Yankees GM Brian Cashman slept on the street, last night, outside of the Covenant House Crisis Center on 41st street in NYC! He fell asleep after midnight and woke up around 5 am this morning. The CEO Solidarity Sleep-out is comprised of 48 leaders from the worlds of business, sports and entertainment that sleep out the night outside of the homeless shelter. The Covenant House helps homeless youths and tries to get them off the street. It helps out 50,000 homeless children a year. The shelter sees about 20-25 children, ages 15-20, come thru each and every day.
“I don’t know how difficult it is to live on the streets, but I’ll live through certain elements tonight,” Cashman said. – nypost
