Randy Moss retires?!
Breaking News: Suddenly suddenly Randy Moss, 34, announced his retirement today! He was an on-and-off pop-and-go receiver for 13 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots! He worked out at ESPN Boot Camp in the spring, so his physical condition had been upgraded. In part, it’s believed he quit because he missed out on the Patriots (signed Chad Ochocinco), missed out on the Jets (signed Plaxico Burress), and neither team wanted to give him a longer term deal. The Philadelphia Eagles ran out of cap room after signing cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. He never won a Championship! He wants a ring! Don’t give up on Moss though, he could jump on a squad by surprise, or if a WR gets injured. So watch out for him on jumping on the Eagles or the Jets in the near future! If he really stays retired, his 153 touchdowns are tied with Terrell Owens for second on the career list, and he’s also fifth in yards (14,858) and tied with Hines Ward for eighth in receptions (954). “Randy has weighed his options and considered the offers and has decided to retire,” Moss’s agent Joel Segal said. – espn
