Plaxico to talk to the Giants
Plaxico Burress, one of the best red-zone receivers in Giants franchise history, may be back in Blue again. He is willing, wants to talks to the Giants (coach Tom Coughlin), and put all his cards on the table before he considers another team. If the discussions go proper, he could be back in Blue again. He has to wait till Friday to meet with coach Coughlin due to the lock-out linguistics. He served 3 months less than two years on an illegal fire-arms charge, and was finally released a few months ago. The Giants did not back him in his case ‘due to nature of the crime’ involving NY gun control laws.
“It’s going to be crazy,” Burress told The Star-Ledger of Newark Tuesday night, regarding the planned meeting.
The New York Post reported Wednesday that Burress will fly back to Florida to resume training and could return on Friday.
“I really don’t know what I’m going to say,” Burress told the Star-Ledger about the meeting. “I’m just going to go in there tomorrow and speak from the heart, be truthful with him and let him know how I feel. Whatever comes out is going to come out.”
“I’m pretty sure there are things he wants to say, too.” – espn
