McNabb to be traded to the Vikings
Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb will be traded to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2012 sixth-round draft pick and a conditional sixth-round pick for 2013, sources say. McNabb, 34, will make far less than his $14.75 Million per year under the current Redskins contract as well. McNabb was traded to the Redskins, last year, after a promising 11-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles. He threw a career-high 15 interceptions with the Redskins, and was benched the final three games. McNabb is athletic, puts up great numbers, but is inconsistent from time to time. McNabb will be able to work with their new rookie QB, Christian Ponder, who was the 12th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft in April. Ponder tweeted earlier today, before the trade was released. “Excited to have McNabb join. Will learn a lot from a Pro Bowler. But that doesn’t mean I’m not still fighting to start week 1!”
