Giants and Willie Mays join Obama at the White House

On Monday afternoon, HOF Legend Willie Mays and the 2010 Champion SF Giants visited President Obama at the White House. California lawmakers, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., joined the party as well. Obama described the team as “characters with character”. Gangly pitcher Tim Lincecum labeled “the freak”, and fully bearded and outlandish dresser, reliever Brian Wilson are characters that Obama pointed out. The president said the Giants may be ”a little different,” but ”one thing they know is how to win.” Willie Mays was a fresh 23-yr old outfielder for the SF Giants when they last won the Championship, so he was enamered with joy when they won last year. foxsports
