“Buck Foston” Bar denied liquor license in Jersey

NJ Jersey mayor, Jim Cahill, actually went against the idea of a rival Boston bar in Jersey late last week. The NY Post reported that Cahill denied the liquor license due to an inappropiate name. The bar owner, Larry Blatterfein, told the Post that the mayor doesn’t like the name and that is why he was denied. Blatterfein’s lawyer says he plans to sue the mayor, arguing that “Buck Foston’s is a fun play on words that pays homage to the century-old rivalry between New York and Boston teams.” – ny post
