NYC restaurants face major fines for not posting grade
Hundreds of restaurants face hefty $1,000 fines for not minding their ABCs.The Health Department reported today that its inspectors have handed out 704 fines to eateries that failed to post their grades as required by a law that took effect last July. Restaurants cited for failing to post their grades face potential $1,000 penalties. But the fines could be lowered after administrative hearings. The Health Department released the numbers two days after The Post reported that some big-name eateries weren’t sharing their poor grades with the public.
