Liriano throws first no-hitter of 2011!
Minnesota Twins Francisco Liriano threw a no-hitter last night against the Chicago White Sox! It was the first no-hitter of the season. There was a little speculation because one player was called out at first, but was never tagged on that play. In the end in the books, he threw a no-hitter. It was the seventh no-hitter in franchise history, and first since 1999. Liriano went in not-so-good record books for having the second highest E.R.A. ever entering a no-hitter at an astounding 9.13 E.R.A. (Earned Run Average).
