Jeter hits record, A-Rod gets milestone


Derek Jeter hit his record 2,944 hit to go to 31st on the all-time list, yesterday, and A-Rod got a milestone 22nd career grand slam, Saturday, to put him 2nd on the all-time list. Jeter got advice from coach Joe Girardi befor Sunday’s game, and it paid off as he passed Frank Robinson (pic below) for 31st place on the all-time hits list.  The Yankees demolished the Orioles on Saturday 15-3, and A-Rod got a milestone 22nd career grand slam to pass Manny Ramirez on the all-time list. “I just told him, I said, ‘Jeet, you have to find a different place to hit,'” Girardi said. “‘The guy has been standing there for years.'”

“I actually think he is swinging the bat better,” Girardi said before the game. “He looks more comfortable to me, too.”
