Rose and Obama hit the piers
Recently, President Obama joined up with Bulls (MVP) Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah for a fund-raiser at the Navy pier in Prez hometown of Chicago. Obama promised to attend the Bulls game if they make it the Finals. Read the quotes from the fundraiser and check out the pic gallery below:
“He said if we make it to the Finals, he’s going to be there pulling for us,” the Chicago Bulls star said after Friday’s practice. “I’m going to make sure to hold him to his words.”
“I freestyled it up there,” Rose said of his remarks at the event. “Everybody had speeches, but I had to come up with something. It was a lot of fun, just being there and meeting people. Of course, me and Obama and his cabinet, it was great.
“He was just telling us how much he liked the team and he’s happy for us.”
“He’s someone I really admire a lot,” Noah said.“Just being able to hear him speak like that, with 1,000 people, it’s pretty incredible. How big of a fan he is of the Bulls, he’s always showing support for us, that’s pretty cool.”
