RECAP: Janet Jackson Concert

Last night was Janet Jackson’s third and final performance in New York for her “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal’ tour.

The concert was great! Just imagine all of your favorite Janet songs, back-to-back.

When curtains rose, the show began with a few of her music videos – a great set-up to take the audience back into time.

Throughout the show they played some of her famous on-screen clips like that of Penny getting burned by the iron on Good Times, and movies like Why Did I Get Married and Poetic Justice.

And as for the music, she performed number one singles:

“When I Think of You,” “Miss You Much,” “Escapade,” “Black Cat,” “Love Will Never Do (Without You),” “That’s The Way Love Goes,” “Again,” “Together Again,” “Doesn’t Really Matter,”

And other Chart-toppers including:

“I Get Lonely,” “Feedback,” “What Have You Done For Me Lately,” “Nasty,” “When I Think of You,” “Control,” “Let’s Wait Awhile,” “The Pleasure Principle,” “If,” “Again,” “Because of Love,” “Any Time, Any Place,” “You Want This,” and “So Excited.”

My absolute favorite Janet Jackson album is her 1993 Janet album which was released the same year as the movie Poetic Justice.

Hearing her perform songs off that album was so nostalgic.

In all truth, last night at Radio City was a party.

Any chance you get to hear your favorite artist perform their greatest hits, should be an opportunity taken! @SelenaBailey
