Diabetes Will Affect Half the Nation by 2020
According to Dr. Andrea Pennington and the Huffington Post, Type 2 Diabetes currently affects 27 million Americans.
A recent report reveals that as one of the fastest growing diseases in the nation, diabetes and prediabetes will affect over half of the population by the end of this decade.
Dr. Pennington said, “This means that hundreds of millions of people will be at risk of having heart attacks, strokes, erectile dysfunction, dementia and early death due to a disease that is preventable and manageable!”
Eating right and exercising regularly can easily lead us to longer, fuller lives but it amazes me how many people lead sedentary lifestyles starting in their adolescence.
Eating terribly, not stretching the muscles, and not doing aerobic activities on a day-to-day basis, will without a doubt result in chronic illness.
Just imagine what a little exercise can do for you in addition to monitoring your eating habits.
For one, you’d probably have a more exciting and vigorous sex life, as well as the ability to keep up with your children and grandchildren, the confidence to feel good about your naked body, and again a better sex life.
I can see how being lazy and gluttonous can be tempting, here and there, but on a consistent basis, why dig yourself into a hole? That just shouldn’t be your lifestyle, unless you want an early death sentence.
Of course some people are genetically predisposed to hypertension, heart disease and diabetes because it runs in their family, but that’s even more of a reason to live a healthy lifestyle to manage the factors that you do have control over.
Come on people, let’s defy these statistics and start working towards healthier lives, better bodies and greater sex. @SelenaBailey
