Kobe dunks on Lebron & named MVP for the All-Star game
Kobe Bryant dunked on Lebron, and even though Lebron got a hand on the ball, Kobe still completed the dunk. Kobe went on to be the MVP (4th time – tied for first all-time) for the West All-Stars with 37 points, 14 boards, and three steals. The West All-Stars also beat the East All-Stars 148-143. Lebron James had a triple-double (29 points, 12 boards, and 10 assists), and Amar’e Stoudemire had 15 points in the fourth quarter to end up with 29 points for the East who made a big fourth quarter comeback. Lebron James is only the second player to get a triple-double in the All-Star game , the first being his majesty MJ in 1997 (14 points, 11 boards, and 11 assists).
“Just tried to showcase my talent on both ends of the floor defending, rebounding, scoring,” LeBron said. “Tried to help our team to victory. We came up short and you know, for me, I’m all about winning. So just a little disappointed in our game. Disappointed that we didn’t win.” (quote courtesy msn.com, foxsports)
