Yankees sign Soriano!

Believe it or not, I was watching the Tampa Bay Rays play the Yankees before the playoffs last fall, and I was wondering why haven’t the Yankees picked this guy up yet? He has young looks of Mariano Rivera, Yankees current reliever. Well now, the amazing has happen as the Yankees just tonight (Thurs Jan 13) signed Rafael Soriano to three-year, $35 million contract. Remember that Soriano led the majors last year (2010) with 45 saves. This is a big score for the NY Yankees!

Rafael Soriano speaks with Sun Sports after tying the Rays’ all-time saves record with 43 in a victory over the Yankees from Sept 15, 2010:
