NY Jets form wall on sideline

What an embarrasment to the NY Jets. New information came out that strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi had instructed five non-uniformed players to form a human wall on the sideline in the Miami game. Consequently, Alosi has been suspended for the rest of the season and fined an additional $25,000. He even stuck out his knee and tripped Miami’s Nolan Carroll. Carroll was returning a punt in the third quarter of the Dolphins’ 10-6 win Sunday. Carroll was injured for a moment, but was able to get up and continue playing. The NFL will be looking into the incident further. (article courtesy espn.com)

”As we continued our investigation, we discovered some new information,” Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said in a conference call from the NFL owners meetings in Dallas, ”and the players at the Miami game were instructed by Sal to stand where they were to force the gunner in the game to run around them.” (courtesy msn.com, foxsports, Dec 15)
