Montano says, “I am very excited to come back home and perform. I can’t wait to engage my fans both online and in-person. My mission to bring Soca into the mainstream of today’s music is becoming a reality.”

He did so in a major this year as he took time away from the carnival season in Trinidad to focus on all his projects. He toured with Pitbull this summer in 22 cities around the states as he continued to perform all over the globe.

His collaboration with Pitbull, “Alright” was not only a billboard hit but it had commercial success. The song was used on CBS show “Hawaii 5-0” as well as “Parenthood” and “Friday Night Lights” on NBC.

Machel is truly taking Soca music to another level.

Machel Montano is counting down his return which formally happens at midnight on January 1 2011. He will reveal his revamped website and launch a ton of other projects.

Once Machel Montano drops his new album, he will take the Carnival season by storm. The international presence of Soca music will continue to grow exponentially- Mark my words.

Machel Montano just won the 2010 International Soca Award for Overall Male Soca Artist of the Year.
