ThatsEnuff Reggae Throwback of the Week

Beenie Man and Future Fambo’s “Rum & Redbull” collaboration has been the biggest dancehall song of the year, hands down.

He also has something in the works that is set to make history. He has begun recording a project called Beenie Man & Friends, which will be eight different singles, all set to one riddim.

Beenie will collaborate with Khago, D’Angel, Ding Dong, Fambo, Deva Bratt, Kantana, Versatile, Cee Gee and Laden for the medley of songs.

The Jamaica Observer reported Beenie Man’s take on the project.

“No other artist in the business has ever tried anything like this before.” he said. “I am writing, arranging and co-producing every song on the riddim, and I am also performing on every song on the riddim.

He also said, “The only thing I haven’t done is build the riddim, which was done by Danny Browne.”

That’s a great look for Beenie. He’s been in the game a long time, serving hit after hit after hit and he’s definitely one of the best.

Here’s one of his classic collaborations featuring Lady Saw, this week’s throwback of the week. Enjoy!
