Amar’e Sounds Off

Where you heard it first, called it out after Friday’s 21-point lead diminished to a 9-point loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves: “Amar’e sounds off”. To add salt to the situation the Knicks have dropped five straight and posted a (3-7) record so far this season. His aggravation with the Knick’s hustle came to light last night (Sun Nov 14) after a 104-96 loss to the Houston Rockets.

After the game, Amar’e yelled at his teammates in the locker room:

“I don’t understand why we’re not playing with the urgency,” a visibly dejected Stoudemire said. “I’m not used to that. We don’t have that sense of urgency. It’s almost as if it doesn’t matter. That’s something I’m not used to.

“I try to instill the fact that we have to play with sense of urgency. It’s not like we won four games in a row, we lost four games in a row. We just still are not having the sense of urgency. We’re not showing that we really want it.”
