Red Roses for Gregory Isaacs’ Funeral
The body of legendary reggae artist, Gregory Isaacs, will be flown home to Jamaica this Thursday, Nov. 11, in preparation for a state funeral and burial.
The service will take place on Sat. Nov. 20 at the National Indoor Sports Center. The theme will be “Red Rose for Gregory” and all those in attendance must wear black or white and carry a red rose.
According to CaribWorldNews, he will be remembered in a memorial service in London this Wednesday in Harrow Weald where he lived with his family, before his body his flown back to Jamaica.
Isaacs passed away in England on Oct. 25 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was 59 years old.
Isaacs recorded over 500 albums throughout his career and he is remembered most for his 1982 hit, “Night Nurse.”
