It’s looking more and more every week that fate shall bring these two teams together for the first time ever in Super Bowl XLV Part IV!! The NY Giants (6-2) stomped the Seattle Seahawks 41-7 in Week 9. It was 35-0 by halftime. The NY Jets (6-2) we’re down on their luck losing to the Detroit Lions 20-10 with 4:26 left in the game, and then turned it out (Click READ MORE for play by play). Santonio Holmes made a deciding 52-yard catch in OT (watch video below). The Jets came back to win 23-20 in Week 9 and hold the crown as one of the toughest teams in the AFC. Forget about “Rumble in the Bronx”, when we have NY vs. NY XLV Part IV! Shot out to Monse for the idea!!! He called it out early!!

JETS VS. LIONS PLAY BY PLAY: The NY Jets narrowly beat the Detroit Lions 23-20. A missed extra point by rookie Lions kicker early on actually made the biggest difference in the world. It was an epic game coming down to 4:26 remaining Jets down 10 points with the ball, one timeout remaining. Mark Sanchez completed a 4-4 quick pass, no-huddle drive to score a TD (2:37 remaining). With great defense, the Jets got the ball back with 1:40 left. Mark Sanchez again did great no-huddle offense with short pass play completions mostly screen passes to LaDanian Tomlinson. It came down to 36-yard field goal spotted from the 18-yard line with 2 seconds left. Its good and the game went to OT. The Jets we’re receiving in OT, and on the second play Jets WR Santonio Holmes caught the ball broke a tackle and completed a huge 52 yard catch and carry. The Jets in good field goal position, carried the ball a couple times, and then hit the game winning 30-yard field goal.
